Have you ever tried sitting in a closet, alone? Hiding from the outside world. Afraid of judgements and unacceptance by society. That’s what it feels like for an lgbt Identifier. Until they find the courage to speak out.
As an outsider, it’s easy to think how hard could it be huh? Coming out?
Well, it requires a lot of courage to Bare all; in front of this Unforgiving world and stand there; Naked in all your Strength. It’s the biggest commitment. You can’t take Knowledge back.
There’s no going back after this. You need to prepare to detach yourself from the whole world a little. Because somewhere somehow people become weird. They see you differently like you’re not Normal now.
There’s a long way to go before we can make them realise, it’s Normal too. There’s a risk of losing your family, your job, your friends and anything else you hold dear. Your family may seize to love you, although just for a little while, but even that will feel like an eternity. Your job may never accept you again. Your friends may get weird around you.
You must realise that it’s going to feel very alone and everything changes. But, you must hold on.
Let your choice reflect your hope not your fear. Your hope for a better world.
An Accepting world. Because There’s no way things would ever be the same again with anybody.
Because Now you’ll be the Real you.
It takes courage to come out and bare your inner soul on a world stage to an unknown audience. I admire those that do…
